FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What type of attire is recommended?
A: Athletic-type clothing is preferred such as sneakers, shorts, and wind-pants. Cleats are not permitted.
Q: Do I need to bring Bats, Balls and Gloves?
A: No, we provide Wiffle® Balls and Wiffle® Bats in addition to other bats, but you are welcome to bring your own bats if desired. No Baseball gloves are required and please bring only bats meant for Wiffle® ball.
Q: Can I bring outside food?
A: Pizza is part of the party package and additional pizzas can be purchased at a discount at the time of booking, if desired. Additional food and drinks can be purchased at our concession stand. You may bring your own cake but we do offer Cold Stone Creamery cakes and Shop Rite sheet cakes. You are also welcome to bring snacks and fruit/veggie/pretzel trays but we ask that you do not bring any other outside food or drinks to your party. Absolutely no outside food or drinks are permitted for open-field rentals. Please call us if you still have questions.
Q: Can my child play on your fields without being part of a party?
A: We currently offer open field bookings which allows anyone to rent a field for an hour for $95. In addition, the first Saturday night of every month from 6:00PM-9:00PM, we hold Kids Night which for $10 gives your child ages 13 and younger the opportunity to play with other kids in organized games. Drinks and food are available at our snack stand for purchase both nights.
Q: What if more kids show up for my party than are allotted?
A: There is an ideal number of participants which make the party fun and maintainable for all guests. This range is 10-25 participants. BLD charges a flat-fee for up to 15 guests (20 for Rookie Party). Each additional guest over that is $10. We highly recommend that you manage the invitations so that no more than 25 children (including siblings) are present at the party.
Q: Are there other options available beside Wiffle® Ball?
A: For younger children we offer Wiffle® T-Ball and Kickball. The batting cages are designed for hardballs and softballs.
A: We offer Hall-Of-Fame parties for adults which allocates the entire building to your event. Bring food, beverages, and your friend and family and let our coordinators umpire your games. Adults can also reserve open fields or participate in adult leagues. Keep checking back with us for updates on the team registrations for our Fall, Winter, and Spring Leagues.
Q: What if I am late for my reserved time? What if my Guests are late?
A: We understand that circumstances happen, however, unfortunately there may be other parties scheduled before and after your session. As many guests will show up at different times, there are 15 minutes reserved at the beginning of the party to gather everyone together, explain the rules, choose the teams, and pump-everyone-up.
Q: What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
A: We understand that things change and we will do our best to work with you. Please call us as soon as possible. We presently allow rescheduling without penalty, but we cannot guarantee any specific time or day will be available at the time of your call. If the party is canceled, your deposit will be lost.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept cash or credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover).
Q: If I am at BLD during a time my favorite sports teams are playing, will I miss it?
A: We love sports too, so our BLD Superbox has a 52" television for your viewing.
Q: What if my guests forget their waiver?
A: Please remind your guests to bring their waivers as this may affect the start of your party, but if they forget, they will be asked to complete a waiver when they arrive on the day of the party.
Q: Can I have an adult party?
A: We offer a Hall-of-Fame party, recommended for ages 15 and older. Every Friday and Saturday night from 8:30PM until 11:00PM (or 9:30PM to Midnight) the place is yours. Check out our catering options to really make it a special event. More information is on the Party page.
Q: What happens when it rains or snows?
A: We are an indoor facility at BLD. We are ready to play rain or shine. In the case of inclement weather, we leave a phone message and a note on our News section of the web page indicating any changes in event schedules or closings.
Q: When do I need to know how many guests there will be or if I need a cake?
A: For your convenience you will receive a call from BLD approximately one week prior to your party to confirm your reservation and to check if anything needs to be added or changed. We would appreciate your estimates at this time or if you know prior, please call us.
Q: Is your summer camp an all day camp?
A: Yes, camps are offered from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday-Friday. We also offer an early drop-off as early as 7:30 AM and a late pickup as late as 5:30 PM.
Q: What happens if there is Inclement Weather like Snow, Icy Conditions, and Heavy Rain?
A: If there are bad weather conditions predicted on the day of your event, a BLD representative will typically call you the day prior to discuss your options. The options include 1) reschedule your event for a later date depending upon availability, 2) cancel with the intention of scheduling at a later date, or 3) wait until the morning of and notify us BEFORE 9:00AM of your decision. We will add a note to our web page and voice mail indicating any changes if any. You will need to notify your guests of the change. Please call us for any of the above options.
